The customer is a Colombian cosmetics company, part of a multinational organisation with 50 years’ experience in the beauty industry. The company manufactures, transforms and markets goods for personal and family consumption.
Project
The customer needed some equipment to produce liquid-based makeup, with volumes ranging from 5 L to 100 L, under pressure and in a vacuum (-500 mbar / 200 mbar), and at room temperature. The products can reach viscosities of up 35,000 cP, meaning counter-rotating equipment is recommendable to ensure very viscous products mix efficiently.

INOXPA solution
The project included 2 production reactors.
- 1 x 30 L reactor to work with minimum volumes of at least 5 L
- 1 x 100 L reactor to work with minimum volumes of at least 20 L
- A centrifugal pump for a mobile CIP to connect to both reactors
Installation characteristics
Both reactors included:
- A hopper for adding solids
- A tank bottom seat valve for discharge
- A counter-rotating agitator with scrapers
- A vacuum system with a liquid ring pump
- An electric control panel with a semi-automatic recipe system
- A VPN system for remote connection
- A hydraulic lifting system and a hydraulic power unit with dual manual control in accordance with machinery guidelines
Special features
- Efficient mixing with a counter-rotating agitator, producing the mix in the shortest possible time
- The manufacturing process in a vacuum, removing any air, to make high quality products with a long shelf-life
- Solids are added via vacuum aspiration from the tank bottom, making mixing easier

- Enclosed stainless steel vacuum and hydraulic system on frame for use in a clean room
